About the author

Chris McFarland is earning a Master of Accountancy degree from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. He is an incoming audit intern at Cherry Bekaert actively studying to pass the CPA exam. He has worked as a cashier and bagger at Harris Teeter since 2021. During his time there, he was named employee of the month and won the first annual, "Best Bagger" competition at his store in 2025. In his free time, he enjoys being outside, playing tennis or doing yardwork.
